Indian cricket set to get some Sunny days

There is a popular saying that every setting sun brings with it the hope of the next beautiful   SunilGavaskarsunrise. This is certainly true for Indian cricket at the moment. The Supreme Court of India has given such a verdict that the Indian cricket fans can afford to dream of better days in near future-better days in a sense that there will be no controversial news regarding BCCI cropping up on the pages of newspapers every morning . It might well be the long-termed wish, or demand as it might be put in that tune, on behalf of the cricket fans that the BCCI should be headed by former cricketers and not by the business tycoons or any political figures. That had always remained an implausible reality. However the Supreme Court has done the unthinkable. May be for the first time they have proposed a name for the post of President by themselves. (After all there is first time for everything.) And they have gone for Sunil Gavaskar, someone who has always Sri Nivasanthought for the betterment of Indian cricket and have tried to stay away from any sort of controversies. It was kind of a day of freedom for Indian cricket-freedom from the clutches of a devil in the name of Narayanswami Srinivasan.

Now coming to the cricketing developments that India might be able to witness in the upcoming days, it can be said that at least there will be overall development of cricket. There will be no such ‘N. Srinivasan-quota’ (an unrevealed quota which had come in to the selection process since this man has taken up the post of President in BCCI) in near future-only near future because you never know Indian cricket. There will no captain who will be forced to hide the reality in order to ‘cement’ his place in the national team and, Sunil Gavaskarmay be, in the office of N. Srinivasan as well. One more thing that might be secured is that there will be no more ‘Indian Pre-fixed League’ any more. Instead there will be Indian Premier League where the results of the match will not be decided even before the first ball of the match is bowled. Both cricketers as well as the fans will get the right value for their passion- their emotion- most importantly their earnest effort.

Well, having said about all the possibilities that might happen, it can’t be forgotten that Sunil Gavaskar has been selected for the Presidential role only for few days. We never know what is going to happen after that. For the time being, it’s relief for the Indian cricketers as well as the Indian fans. Now each and everyone can focus on India’s dashing performance in Bangladesh in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup.
