With five days to go for the polls, Delhi had an action-packed Sunday, as the three party leaders addressed rallies, criticizing each other. Prime Minister Modi, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal addressed rallies in the capital, appealing the Delhi voters to vote for their parties.

Talking about his government at the centre, PM Modi, at his Dwarka rally, said, “If my luck is benefitting people, then vote for BJP,” while adding that the prices of petrol and diesel have come down, due to which, people are able to save some money. Party President Amit Shah, Delhi chief Satish Upadhyay and the party’s CM candidate Kiran Bedi were present on the stage while the PM addressed the crowd.

He attacked the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress by saying that the two joined hands behind the curtain to form the government. Prime Minister Modi also appealed to the electorate of Delhi to vote his party to power here if they want development rather than dharnas, backlashing the AAP.

On the other hand, Arvind Kejriwal, at his Shastri Nagar rally, said, “I don’t sit on dharna for myself. I sit on Dharna for people,” as reported by The Times Of India. Kejriwal was quoted by the TOI as he alleged, “When I was CM, no one took bribes. Corruption was eradicated in those 49 days. Now BJP is here and corruption is everywhere. They do not have the intent to remove corruption.”

Congress President Sonia Gandhi, in her campaign rally, attacked both Modi and Kejriwal, by calling the former ‘pracharak’ and the latter ‘dharnebaaj’. She said, “While one party has a pracharak, who only does ‘prachar’ the other just has a dharnebaaj, who is all the time busy organising dharnas. Delhi needs good governance and not false promises.”

Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheela Dixit had accompanied Sonia Gandhi in her campaign trail today. She was addressing a poll rally at Badarpur in southeast Delhi.
