DMK Suspends 33 Leaders for indiscipline

The DMK has suspended 33 senior leaders, including former union minister SS Palanimanickam and Rajya Sabha member KP Ramalingam for acting against the party during the Lok Sabha Polls. DMK was completely routed in Tamil Nadu.

The party has sent show cause notices asking the leaders to explain why they should not be expelled from the party.

The decision came after party’s internal panel recommended expulsion of these leaders for their indiscipline acts against the party.

DMK General Secretary K Anbazhagan said that the leaders were asked to submit their replies in a week.
