Sena ready to support BJP in Maharashtra

It seems ‘all is well’ between BJP and its estranged partner Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. After days of tussle, ego clash, bitter biting – finally Sena blinks and announces that it is ready to support BJP-led government in the state.

In the editorial of its mouthpiece ‘Saamana’, the Shiv Sena praised BJP leadership including the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for impressive results in the recently concluded assembly polls. The editorial also praised the role of Devendra Fadnavis, who has been emerging as the front runner to become next chief minister of Maharashtra.

“On the day of Laxmi Pooja, (Devendra) Fadnavis met (Nitin) Gadkari and took his blessings. Later Gadkari met the RSS chief and took his blessings. All these blessings are undoubtedly important, but the blessings of the people are the most important. Shiv Sena is ready to support anyone who will take Maharashtra ahead with the blessings of the people,” Saamana editorial said.
