A mob of protestors spearheaded by Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin, today, took to streets in a pursuit to demur the arrival of Home Minister Rajnath in Islamabad, Pakistan.

More than 2,000 members of various religious and terror groups protested outside the Islamabad airport as well as the venue of the two-day meeting as Rajnath Singh arrived for the two-day SAARC conclave, accusing him for the unrest in Kashmir.

Apart from Hizbul Mujahideen, activists of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, the United Jihad Council (UJC) and other such groups protested to denounce Singh’s trip to attend South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) ministerial conference.

A statement released by Hafiz Saeed’s Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) said that it has no plans to leave the place unless India receives relief goods, dry food and medicines meant for Kashmiris.

On Tuesday, JuD caravan led by Talha Saeed, the son of Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed, had mounted a sit-in at the Line of Control near Chakothi in Pakistan occupied Kahmir (POK), where they were barred by Pakistani Security forces.

The protestors today carried on their sit-in, demanding that India receives relief materials brought by them for Kashmiris.

Earlier, Hafiz Saeed had forewarned the Pakistani government that Singh’s presence in Islamabad may create “unrest” among Kashmiris and Pakistanis in the face of scores of killings in Kashmir.

Forty nine people have been massacred in Kashmir in clashes since the security forces killed Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani on July 8.
