Sonia Gandhi is ninth most powerful women in the world

UPA Chairperson and Congress President, Sonia Gandhi is the ninth most powerful woman in the world.

According to Forbes magazine’s top 10 most powerful women in 2013, Sonia Gandhi ranked in ninth position. PepsiCo chief Indra Nooyi stood at the 10th position in the list.

Forbes declared German Chancellor Angela Merkel as the most powerful woman in the world. This is the third consecutive year Angela Merkel to remain as the most powerful woman globally.

Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff, Melinda Gates, Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton – completes the first five slots in the global list of world’s 100 most powerful women.

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg (6), IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde (7) also found themselves in the list of 10 most powerful women in the world.
