Solicitor General Rohinton F Nariman resigns

Solicitor General of India Rohinton F Nariman has resigned from his post on Monday without giving any reason for his sudden departure.

It is assumed that Mr. Nariman was unhappy with Law minister Ashwani Kumar and they had differences of opinion on many issues. However it is not clear whether he has quit only because of this.

Till now, neither government nor law minister Ashwani Kumar has issued any statement.

Rohinton Nariman took charges on July 23, 2011 from Gopal Subramaniam and he was the son of famous constitutional jurist Fali S Nariman.
