India Is Now Officially ‘A Polio Free Country’

Today in an expecting move World Health Organization (WHO) has taken off India’s name from the list of polio endemic countries. There was not a single case of polio has been registered over the year in India. Union health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad  received the official letter from WHO and he revealed this great news at the polio summit 2012 in front of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

“WHO has taken India’s name off the list of polio endemic countries in view of the remarkable progress that we have made during the past one year,” said Mr. Azad.

Along with the government and NGOs , the credit should go to over 23 lakh volunteers who tirelessly and repeatedly vaccinated children at every corner of our vast country.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
