Forbes releases 2014 billionaire list

Forbes released its annual list of World’s Richest People with Microsoft founder Bill Gates backs to top spot with $76 billion net worth, up from $67 billion last year. Mexican Telecom giant Carlos Slim Helu, who had been the richest person for the last four years, comes to the second spot behind Gates  with $72 Billion net worth.

Spanish clothing retailer Amancio Ortega of Zara fashion chain remained in the 3rd spot with $64 billion. Warren Buffett ranked fourth with a net worth of $58.2 billion.  Casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson made a comeback to top 10 after a gap of seven years with $11.5 billion net worth.

Google co-founder Larry Page is on 17 spot with net amount $32.3 Billion net worth ahead of Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com who has $32 Billion. Another Google founder Sergey Brin made it to 19th position with $31.8 Billion net worth. Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg on 21st spot with $29 Billion net worth.     

42 women have entered into Forbes Billionaires list for year 2014. Facebook’s rising star Sheryl Sandberg, Spanx’s Sara Blakely, fashion designer Tory Burch and Oprah Winfrey also made it to the richest list of the year.

According to Forbes, 2014 list consists of record 1,645 Billionaires with collective Net Worth of $6.4 Trillion.

Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industry is on 40th place with a net worth of $18.6 Billion. Steel tycoon  Lakshmi Mittal ranked 52 with $16.7 B. With $15.3 B Wipro Chairman Azim Premji is on 61st position in the world. Sun Pharmaceutical founder Dilip Shanghvi is on 82 rank with $12.8 Billion net worth. Yahoo’s new India Chief Shiv Nadar is on 102 spot with $11.1 Billon.
