Government not to public Henderson Brooks Report

Defence Minister Arun Jaitley has said that the government will not disclose the controversial Henderson Brooks report in public as it is not in favour of national interest.

“This (the Henderson Brooks report) is a top secret document and has not been declassified so far. Release of this report, fully or partially or disclosure of any information in this report would not be in national interest,” Defence Minister Arun Jaitley informed Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.

The Henderson Brooks Report, written by then Lt General Henderson Brooks and Brigadier PS Bhagat on 1962 Indo-China war, in which India suffered embarrassing defeat, has been classified as ‘top secret’ and till date no government has opened the document to the public, although there have been demands in the past.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
