DIY- 4 easy-to-Make Coffee at Home!

It is said that you can’t buy happiness but you can certainly buy coffee which is pretty close. Who wouldn’t like a hot caffeine beverage on a winter day in the confines of their homes, or sipping a cold latte and relaxing in the summer holidays?

Being a caffeine aficionado myself, I totally get it what beverage indulgence is, and how fancy is sipping on variants of the bean drink. After all, the way to the heart is by having exotic coffee 24×7. This article presents to you four easy to make at home coffee recipes. Have it anytime you want!

The preparation time for all the 4 recipes is barely 2 minutes.

The quantity and quality of ingredients should be as per your preferences.

INSTANT ICED COFFEE– Probably the easiest. And the best. Cold coffee is an absolute favorite.

INGREDIENTS: As per your choice & taste-

  • 1-3 teaspoons instant coffee powder (i use Nescafe/Bru)
  • Cold water (1-2 cups depending on how strong an essence you would prefer)
  • Creamer (I love soy creamers, around 4 tbsp.)
  • Sugar
  • Ice

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Add instant coffee grounds and creamer to a glass and stir well
  • Fill glass with cold water
  • Stir constantly and allow coffee to fully dissolve
  • Serve chilled with ice

NUTELLA COFFEE– I call it the Nutella toffee coffee

INGREDIENTS:

  • Milk (cold- I prefer low fat): 1 cup
  • Nutella (2tbsp)
  • Coffee Powder (1tsp)
  • Sugar (¼ tsp)
  • Vanilla essence (¼ tsp, optional)

INSTRUCTIONS::

  • Mix and blend all the ingredients in a blender or a mixer until you see it thick and frothy.
  • You may add a scoop of ice-cream.
  • Serve

Hot Cocoa/Chocolate: Remarked as an all-time classic

INGREDIENTS:

  • A scoop of vanilla ice cream (To be topped before serving)/Marshmallows
  • 1 cup milk (or almond/ soy milk/water)
  • 1 ounce hot cocoa powder (Cadbury)
  • 1 tbsp coffee powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Gather the ingredients.
  2. Get the milk/water to boil. Simmer.
  3. Meanwhile, gently add the cocoa mix and coffee granules into an empty cup. Add cinnamon apportionately. Add a little milk to create a paste. Stir gently.
  4. Gradually add the rest of the hot liquid while stirring. Serve hot with marshmallows.

You can add variants in this recipe by incorporating various flavours like mint, peppermint, truffle etc.

Salted Caramel Latte- A divine combination of salt and sweet. Indeed, it it best of both worlds.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream (Again, it is up to you)
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5-6 cups coffee (Make it prior to beginning with this recipe)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. To make the salted caramel, add the sugar and water to a vessel. Place the pot over medium-high heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved and it begins to boil and turns caramel. Turn the heat down to medium-low and allow the sugar to boil. Do not stir much.
  2. Remove it from the heat immediately, as it can go from caramelized to burned rather quickly. Add cream, butter, salt, and vanilla extract.
  3. Allow the caramel to cool and thicken.
  4. To make the Salted Caramel cold coffee, add about 2 Tbsp of salted caramel in the bottom of the cup. Add coffee and stir well until the caramel has dissolved.
  5. Mix and serve immediately, or add a splash of milk or cream.

So, may your coffee kick in before reality kicks in.
