UK Announces A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Scholarship for Indian Students

David Willets, Minister for Universities and Science, UK, has announced a $400,000 A.J.P. Abdul Kalam Scolarshipfor Indian Students enrolling in postgraduate programs in Engineering, science and technology.

The scheme which is offered by Queen’s University, Belfast, provides scholarships to 100 Indian students.

Willet said “India runs second only to China in terms of oversees students pursuing higher education in UK.”  According to him, there are some 50,000 Indian students pursuing various courses in UK.
