Paralympics: India’s Girisha Hosanagara Won Silver Medal

Girisha Hosanagara Nagarajegowda brought India’s first medal at the Paralympic Games in London on Monday after winning silver in the men’s high jump event.

Girisha jumped a height of 1.74 metres in the final and secured silver medal for him. The gold went to Fiji’s Iliesa Delana.

Indian contingents include ten Indian athletes for the 2012 Paralympic Games in London which will end on September 9.  India did not win a single medal from Beijing four years ago.

Kudos to the 24-year-old Karnataka man who bring glory for his country!

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
