Washington Post Criticises Manmohan Singh, Calls Him ‘Silent’ Prime Minister

On Wednesday American popular daily Washington post has published an article on Dr.Manmohan Singh, labeled him as ‘silent’ Prime Minister of India. The Post said, “Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s second term in office has been damaged by corruption scandals and policy paralysis.” It furors Congress and visibly upset PMO seek an apology which Washington Post declined.

The article strongly criticises the second term of Dr. Manmohan Singh and his declining stature. It said, “The image of the scrupulously honorable, humble and intellectual technocrat has slowly given way to a completely different one: a dithering, ineffectual bureaucrat presiding over a deeply corrupt government.” “The story of Singh’s dramatic fall from grace in his second term in office and the slow but steady tarnishing of his reputation has played out in parallel with his country’s decline on his watch.” it adds.

PMO has strongly reacted on this ‘baseless’ story and seeks an apology.

Few days back Time magazine also dubbed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as an ‘underachiever’. It seems western media has given up on our Prime Minister’s ability.

However till now Washington Post is stick to their stand and refuse to say sorry. And PM Dr.Manmohan Singh is as usual ‘silent’ on this matter.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
