Nadal to face Djokovic in Monte Carlo open final

Defending champion Rafael Nadal eyes ninth successive Monte Carlo Masters title as he reached the final after beating Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-3, 7-6 in semifinal on Saturday.

Nadal will face last year’s finalist and world number one Novak Djokovic. The last time Nadal has played against Djokovic was in last year’s French Open final and which he won.

This is Nadal’s five straight masters’ finals since his come back from knee injury. He has already won three titles of this season.

Djokovic reached final, thrashing Italy’s Fabio Fognini 6-2, 6-1.
