Sonia Gandhi says TRS betrays Congress

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has fierce the attack in Telengana ahead of seventh phase of Lok Sabha Polls. In a rally on Sunday in Medak, Sonia Gandhi said that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRs) has betrayed Congress after the creation of a new state.

Sonia said that the party to know when TRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao announced that TRS would not tie up with Congress ahead of 2014 Lok Sabha elections as well as for the state assembly polls.

“TRS betrayed us. It was not an easy task to convince everyone on Telangana,” said Sonia.

“The TRS chief was not present in Parliament when the Telangana Bill was tabled, this shows his seriousness,” she added.
