Kejriwal loses control, BJP demands apology

Kejriwal’s outburst came after his office was raided by CBI for anti-corruption efforts

New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal of the AAP, in a statement this morning, claimed that the Central Bureau of investigation had randomly and suddenly raided his office as a part of anti-corruption measures. He accused Prime Minister Modi to have been the perpetrator of the raid, even going as far as to say that the BJP was taking advantage of the CBI just as the Congress had in its reign. Tweeted the motormouth politician, “When Modi couldn’t handle me politically, he resorts to this cowardice. Modi is a coward and a psychopath.”

While the BJP has denied this statement by saying the MR. Kejriwal’s office was either touched nor sealed, the CBI has also backed it by saying that it only raided the Delhi Chief Minister’s Secretary Rajender Prasad’s office. moreover, they added that they did not require the Chief Minister’s permission to search an official’s quarters. the Finance Minister, Mr. Arun Jaitley , said in an address in the Parliament following the CM’s shortcoming, “The office of the chief minister of Delhi has not been raided. The raid has nothing to do with Mr. Arvind Kejriwal or his tenure as chief minister. The search is against an officer.” Rajender Prasad is allegedly involved in practising corruption in computer purchases and in the raids today, the CBI is known to have recovered Rs. 13 lakh in cash and nearly Rs. 3 lakh in foreign currency.

However, Kejriwal rubbished these claims and said, “FM lied in Parliament. My own office files are being looked into to get some evidence against me. Rajender is an excuse.”

Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Law Minister quoted in a press conference later on, “The CBI had a proper search warrant issued by a competent court. I hope the CBI will be allowed to work without pressure. Kejriwal should tender an unqualified apology to the Prime Minister for using words like coward. What he said is uncalled for, unwarranted, shameful and condemnable.” Simultaneously, he blamed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of politicizing a corruption case.

Deputy to Mr. Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia responded sternly, “You apologize for your actions, we’ll apologize for our words.” The AAP administration claimed that the entire floor of the Delhi Secretariat was sealed by the CBI, even refusing access to the Chief Minister’s office.
