Mamata’s Trinamool sweeps West Bengal panchayat poll

Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress swept West Bengal Panchayat Polls by winning 13 out of the 17 districts in the states in huge margin.

Mamata magic almost kicked-out Congress from the state and it only able to hold Murshidabad district, literally making it an insignificant party in Bengal at this moment.

Left also ended winning only Jalpaiguri district and 2 remain hung.   

“I want to thank the people of West Bengal who faced a lot of adversities while voting. By voting and making the right decision, they have brought back the democracy to Bengal,” Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said.

The three-phase panchayat polls saw a new emerging trend across the state as Trinamool dent heavily in the Left strongholds. Districts like Burdwan, Hoogly, South Dinajpur, Purulia completely turn their face from Left. Before general election this result will surely re-energies ruling Trinamool party and made Congress needs to go to self-assessment. It is almost final that the next Lok Sabha election will be fought between arch rival TMC vs CMI (M).
