India may vote against Sri Lanka at UN summit

A day after DMK’s threat to pull out its ministers from the government, Finance Minister P Chidambaram has hinted that India may vote against Sri Lanka at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) meet later this month.

Sri Lanka has been denying probe against war crimes.

DMK has asked the government to support resolution moves by US against Sri Lanka at the UN.

Chief Minister J Jayalalitha recently sent a mail to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, asking him to take action against Sri Lankan government for torturing Tamils in the country.
