Drama continues in Bihar Politics

nitishDrama Continues in Bihar as three MLAs of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD party has resigned on Sunday and said they will support Nitish Kumar’s JD (U).

“We are already working with the JD (U). Our full support is with Nitish Kumar,” said Samrat Chaudhary, one of the rebel MLAs.

All eyes are now on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who has decided to rethink on his resignation following Sunday’s JD (U) meet.

“We approached our leader and requested him to continue serving Bihar. The state needs him, so we asked him to take his resignation back,” party general secretary Anjani Kumar said.

“Ever since Nitish tendered his resignation, party MLAs were protesting Nitish Kumaragainst the decision and urged him to withdraw his decision to quit. The party will also hold another JDU Legislative Party meeting on Monday and final decision will be taken then,” JD (U) spokesman Sanjay Singh said.

Nitish Kumar submitted his resignation on Saturday, owning the responsibility of party’s pathetic performance in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. After MLAs have urged Nitish Kumar to rethink his decision he said he will confirm his position on Monday.

A section of JD (U) has blamed Nitish Kumar poll debacle and also criticised him for his decision to split from NDA following Modi’s coronation as the PM candidate for 2014 Lok Sabha polls. JDU leader and Revenue Minister Ramai Ram was heckled by Nitish supporters in Patna on Sunday for criticizing Kumar. Nitish supporters are also demanding party president Sharad Yadav’s resignation following the election disaster.

JD (U)BJP, meanwhile, has taken ‘wait and watch’ policy. BJP had earlier met the Bihar Governor demanding that the JD (U) should prove MLAs support to continue in government.

“If Nitish Kumar can go back to the Congress, who he once fought against, then he can stoop to any level to save his government. The Governor should address the issue of horse trading in Bihar,” SushilKumar Modi said.

JD (U) has urged Congress and RJD to support its government.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
