A historic and remarkable victory for Modi

 

New Delhi/ Mumbai: Celebrations began outside the BhartiyaJanata Party Headquarters with crackers bursting and party supporters dancing in full mood as their party is set to rule India. As the counting began and good signs were revealed for the BJP, as predicted by the Exit Polls, party workers as well as supporters turned jubilant. Twitter and Facebook timelines flooded with the tagline Aache Din Aane Wale Hai.

The Share Market too showed good signs as Sensex hit a new record of 25,014.85. Nifty too crossed 7,400 points.

Modi winsSpeaking about the victory of BJP it deserves a single word and that is ‘Spectacular’. In a sense, the party has boldly stood up and won the elections, sweeping the Congress Party out. In several constituencies we had Congress workers trailing against BJP workers. Even the AAP factor stood nothing in front of the Modi wave with many AAP candidates trailing too.

A veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani won from Gandhinagar by 23,260 votes. Harsh Vardhan, another party candidate of BJP from Chandni Chowk won by 1 lakh votes against Ashutosh of the AAP and KapilSibal of Congress. Meenakshi Lekhi of the BJP too won the elections from New Delhi. Varun Gandhi of BJP, son of Menka Gandhi and brother of Rahul Gandhi won the elections from Sultanpur. Former Mumbai Police Commissioner, Dr. Satyapal Singh, who was contesting elections from Uttar Pradesh on the BJP ticket too won and B. S. Yeddyurappa from BJP too stood victorious from Shimoga in Karnataka.

Actress and BJP candidate from Chandigarh Kirron Kher won. She, speaking to the media said, “I am happy that everywhere it is a victory for BJP. We are proud for the victory.”

Vasundhara Raje who too won the elections said, “This victory is totally of NaMo. He has electrified the whole nation. This is no ordinary thing.”

General V.K. Singh who was also contesting elections from Ghaziabad on a BJP ticket, won the elections against Shazia Ilmi of the AAP and Raj Babbar of the Congress.

Sachin Pilot of Congress too lost the elections by 1,00,000 votes from Ajmer and BJP’s SanwarLalJat won. In Punjab however Arun Jaitley lost against Captain Amarinder Singh of the Congress.

Rahul Gandhi won in Amethi against Smriti Irani of the BJP. Majority in the BJP1entire nation, BJP has won except of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Punjab where the Congress, AAIDMK and AAP respectively has done well.

Again, BJP’s PareshRawal won from Ahmedabad while Giriraj Singh won from Nawada. Ghulam Nabhi Azad lost from Jammu and Kashmir. Rajyavardhan Rathore won the elections against Congress’ CP Joshi. Again RaoInderjit Singh won over AAP’s Yogendra Yadav.

Congress Spokesperson and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi got the support of Rae Baraili as she stood victorious there. Rahul Gandhi won from Amethi and ShashiTharoor won from Thiruvanantpuram.

Sonia Gandhi briefed the press about their complete defeat in the Elections 2014. But no questions from the media persons were entertained.

In Karnataka, H. D. Dewegowda won from Hassan. In Mumbai too Shiv Sena and BJP showed a good performance. AAP members from Mumbai too lost in the elections. Gajanan Kirtikar won against Gurudas Kamat from Mumbai North West. Poonam Mahajan won against Priya Dutt of Congress from North Central Mumbai. From North Mumbai Govind Shetty won the elections defeating Sanjay Nirupam of the Congress.

Speaking about AAIDMK, they too remained strong in Central Chennai. J. Jayalalitha too went ahead to describe her party’s performance as ‘unprecedented’ and ‘historic.’

After this stunning victory, Modi went on to meet his mother Heeraben Patel at her residence. An ocean of protestors had gathered to view the future Prime Minister of our country. Modi spoke to his mother, took her blessings, spoke to the kids at the house and then left for Vadodra.

If we take a look at the all-over results then NDA stood victorious on 334 seats, UPA on 62 and others on 147.

India’s outgoing Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh congratulated Narendra Modi. Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle too congratulated Narendra Modi on tweeter.

NarendraModi too got to tweeter and tweeted, “India has won. Bharat ki Vijay. Acche Din aane wale hai.”

Happiness had spread across the nation with Modi winning the elections. Jay Morzaria of the Freak organization said, “BJP has played it very well this time. They were prepared with all kinds of questions, all kinds of allegations and counter-allegations. The promotions were very good. The face of their campaign has a good track record. In short, they had everything necessary to win. Congress is not only defeated, it has been overthrown.”

AmitPandit of Shiv Sena described this victory as the victory of ‘truth’. Youth Ambassador Samarendra Patra too said that India wants a change.
