Babus are losing First Class luxury in Modi era

Bad news for the families of bureaucrats and top government officials who enjoyed a luxurious trip by flying in the first class – have now need to forego those days. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued an order as saying that bureaucrats have to pay for their spouses’ air tickets from now on.

The ban on first-class travel is a part of an austerity measures taken by the government to cut the fiscal deficit by 10 per cent.

“There is a need to continue to rationalise expenditure and optimize available resources,” the Finance Ministry said in its directive.

The ministry has ban meetings at five-star hotels, buying cars for government officials and no new posts creation.

“Such measures are intended at promoting fiscal discipline, without restricting the operational efficiency of the government,” the Finance Ministry said.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
