Pinki Pramanik Resumes Her work In Eastern Railway

Controversial Athlete Pinki Pramanik has at last resumed her work on Thursday. She was suspended from her job in Eastern Railway amid allegations of rape charges and jail custody.

Pinki Pramanik, Asian Games gold medalist, was arrested by police on June 14 on rape charges filled by a woman. The allegations sparked questions about her gender and this led to series of medical tests including chromosomal tests to determine her gender.

The mistreatment and inhuman behaviour to Pinki raised uproar and anger nationwide and Human Rights Commission officials intervene.  
The District and Sessions Judge of Barasat Court granted bail to Pinki 25 days afterthe arrest.
