UK welcomes baby prince

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has given birth to a son on Monday at St Mary’s Hospital in west London.  The new prince is third in line to the throne after Prince Charles and Prince William.

The official announcement was published on an easel in front of Buckingham Palace.

“The whole country will celebrate. They’ll make wonderful parents,” Prime Minister David Cameron said.

“Enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time, an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine,” said Prince Charles.

British obsession with the royal family now shifted towards the baby name. Thousands of Britons placed bets on name of the newborn prince.
