Seventh Pay Commission to recommend 15% salary hike

According to the sources, the 7th Pay Commission is likely to recommend 15% increase in salaries for the 50 lakh central government employees and 54 lakh pension holders.

The 7th Pay Commission’s propose 15% hike is way below than the 35% increase proposed by the 6th Pay Commission in 2008.

The proposals of hike will be tabled in front of the finance minister on Thursday. . The hike will be reflected from January 1, 2016, provided the cabinet approves it.
