Chevrolet Camaro named “Car of the Year” by Motor Trend

General Motors’ trendy and stylish Chevrolet Camaro has been named “car of the year” by popular Motor Trend magazine. Chevrolet Colorado also bagged honour of “Truck of the Year”, while Volvo XC90 is being honoured as the “SUV of the Year”.

The prestigious honour came at the time when General Motors desperately fighting its rivals in the fiercely competitive auto industry.

To achive the name, Chevrolet Colorado beat its rival finalists like Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Canyon, GMC Sierra 1500, Nissan Titan XD and Toyota Tacoma.

Chevrolet Camaro beat Audi TT, BMW 7 Series, Honda Civic, Mazda MX-5 Miata, Mercedes-Benz GT S and Toyota Mirai to snatch the “car of the year” award.

The new designed Volvo XC90 beat Honda Pilot, Lincoln MKX, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class and Nissan Murano to get the award of “SUV of the Year”.
