Oscar Pistorius granted Bail over Reeva Steenkamp Killing

Oscar Pistorius, the alleged murder of model Reeva Steenkamp has granted bail by a South African court after a week he spent in custody.

The magistrate granted bail to Pistorius against one million rand (£73,000).

The double amputee shot girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day.

Before granting the bail the magistrate said that still there are lots of questions to answer.

“I have difficulty in appreciating the accused did not ascertain the whereabouts of his girlfriend when he got off the the bed,” he said. “I have difficulty with the accused not seeking to verify who was in the toilet when he could have asked. I have difficulty understanding why the deceased didn’t scream back from the toilet,” he added

The case has been postponed till June 4.
