Anna Hazare's painting by Tihar prisoner sold at Rs 20,000An oil painting of Gandhian Social activist Anna Hazar painted by a Tihar jail prisoner sold at Rs 20,000 in an exhibition.

“M Lankeshwaran, who is serving jail term for murder, made an oil painting of Anna Hazare which was put up in Tihar exhibition of paintings. A tourist bought it for Rs 20,000,” said a jail official.

While agitating in 2011 for bringing strong Lokpal Bill, Anna Hazare was sent to Tihar jail for three days ahead of his scheduled fast. Lankeshwaran met him there. He is a trained painter and currently teaching painting to prisoners in Tihar.
