Micromax backed Yu recently launched the Yutopia, Yu’s first try at mid to high range market segment. Yu has been teasing the Yutopia as the ‘most powerful phone on the planet’; the phone is an Amazon exclusive and is on sale.
As of the specifications go the yutopia houses a 5.2 inch WQHD (2560 X 1440) display which is protected by corning’s gorilla glass. Under the hood is a 2 GHz Snapdragon 810 64 bit octa core processor chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM. There is 32 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via the help of a micro SD card.
The design of the phone is similar to the Yu yuphoria in many ways but the yutopia is of aircraft grade aluminum and boasts a full metal body design. The phone is 7.2 mm thick and houses a finger print scanner at the rear end of the device.
For the shutterbugs the yutopia house a 21 MP rear camera with OIS and PDAF which is also capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps and slow motion videos at 120 fps. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera.
To power the phone there is a 3,000 mAh battery with Qualcomm’s very own quick charge 2.0 which can charge the phone up to 60% in 30 minutes. Connectivity options remain the usual with G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS etc. on software front it runs cyanogen 12.1 which is based on Android 5.1.
