Winamp to shut down next month

winamp

The era of Winamp is about to end! After entertaining over 15 years Winamp media player will close the operation on December 20. The announcement made on the Winamp website on Wednesday, confirming the speculation.

In its first 5 years Winamp media player ruled the entertainment media but could not sustain momentum after being acquired by AOL in 1999. And techies across the spectrum are pointing their fingers at AOL mismanagement for Winamp debacle. Although Winamp tried to bounce back with Android and Mac versions in 2010 and 2011, but failed miserably as their action was ‘too little, too late’.

As Winamp is ready to say goodbye, music-lovers have only one more month to download the free Winamp media player before it vanish into history.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
