Apple users be cautious

A new website is going viral and not for the right reasons, the website here is called www.CrashSafari.com this website can not only crash your browser as the name suggest but can also make your phone restart itself.

This problem is being seem in majority of Apple devices running either iOS or OSX, so if you have a Mac or an iPhone/iPad/iPod stay away from this website.

A JavaScript code repeatedly calls on the History API in quick succession which in turn overloads the browser’s memory and causes it to crash. The bug itself is pretty harmless and won’t do anything to the device itself except randomly crashing the browser and maybe restarting the phone to save itself.

To prank people with this trick a lot of shortened URL are being circulated online on various social media platforms so steer clear of clicking on any unknown link and don’t open any link unless you’re sure the sender is legit.

The hack although seems to trouble only those who are on iOS 9.2.1 or OSX 10.11.3 along with a few beta seeds but it’s better not to risk.
