We will spoil the game of all: claims Patidar leader ahead of Bihar polls

Hardik Patel, the leader of the Patel reservation movement claimed that he will spoil the game of all in the upcoming Bihar polls, retaliating to the silence that, he claims, has been maintained by BJP over the atrocities on Patidars. Patel claimed that his group will be holding four rallies in Bihar in the next month.

“We will not forgive those who killed our youths,” Patel said, while adding, “Not one BJP leader has uttered a single word over atrocities on the patidar community. We will hold four grand rallies in Bihar next month.”

He further said, “We will conduct a brainstorming session with all the 197 conveners of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) in Gujarat about those rallies. Along with that, workers of Patel Navnirman Sena from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will go to Bihar to ensure success of these rallies of our community.”

PAAS’ spokesperson, Chirag Patel, said Patidar community members from across the country will be mobilized in Bihar for the rallies they are planning, in order to “raise the issue of police atrocities” on the people of Patidar community. However, when specifically asked whether or not the movement is against the BJP, he said, “That is not our look out who will bear loss and who will gain. We will just raise our issues.”

Hardik Patel has already received praises from Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, who described him as a young and emerging leader.

This can turn on to be a real challenge in front of the BJP-led NDA alliance in Bihar, which is aiming at a victory in the state. Patel might as well get some sort of support from Nitish Kumar, as the latter has come out with words of praise for the former.

Polling is scheduled to take place in five phases in Bihar, commencing from the 12th of October.
