Yuvraj Singh Return In Team India For World Twenty20 Championship

India selectors keep faith on Yuvraj Singh and picked him for the Twenty20 World Cup on Friday. Yuvraj who recovered from lung cancer recently will be a part of 15-member Indian team for the World Twenty20 cup which will be held in Sri Lanka from 18th September to 7th October this year.

Yuvraj who last seen in action for India in November 2011, was played the key role in India’s 50-over World Cup win last year. He was named ‘Man of the tournament’.

Along with Yuvi, Harbhajan Singh and Laxmipathy Balaji also make a comeback to the Indian team.

Selection committee Chief Kris Srikkanth said, “We have selected a team which we think will win the T20 World Cup again.”

BCCI also announced the Test Squad for New Zealand series. India will play the two home Tests against New Zealand from August 23. Selectors retain VVS Laxman. Ishant Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Suresh Raina and Piyush Chawla being recalled in 16-man squad.
