Virendra Sehwag to Lead in the First Three ODI’s Against West Indies

Virender Sehwag has been asked to lead the Indian cricket team in the first three ODIs against the West Indies. The first OI is scheduled to start on 29th November (Tuesday).

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar have been asked to rest in view of the forthcoming tour to Australia. Sachin Tendulkar is also asked to rest.

Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh are conspicuous omissions from the 15-member squad announced on Friday.

Praveen Kumar, fast bowler, has been re-inducted into the ODI team.

ODI Team: Virender Sehwag (captain), Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Parthiv Patel (wicketkeeper), Ajinkya Rahane, Manoj Tiwary, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, R.Ashwin, Varun Aaron, Umesh Yadav, Rahul Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Vinay Kumar.
