Saina Nehwal Wins Thailand Open Title

Top seeded India’s Saina Nehwal wins Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold title on Sunday in Bangkok after defeating second seed Ratchanok Inthanon 19-21, 21-15, 21-10. Saina Nehwal became the first Indian woman to lift the Thailand Open.

After losing the first set, world number five Saina fights back and win back to back 2 set to clinch the title.  This is Saina’s second title of this season. Earlier she won Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold in March in Basel.  

The win will surely give additional boost to Saina’s confidence ahead of London Olympics in July-August this year.
