Saina Nehwal, K Srikanth Win China Open

A good day for Indian badminton as both Kidambi Srikanth and Saina Nehwal won the China Open Super Series singles title respectively on Sunday.

The 21-year-old Srikanth won his first major title today beating Chinese Olympic champion Lin Dan 21-19, 21-17 in just 46 minutes.

Saina Nehwal won the women’s title by beating Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi 21-12, 22-20. With this title she is set to move to fifth position in the new world rankings on Monday.

Earlier this year, Saina had won the Australian Super Series and Syed Modi Grand Prix Gold.
