EPL’s ‘1st big match’ ends in a dull draw

A lot was at stake when two great rivals of recent times in English football, Manchester United and Chelsea, locked horns at Old Trafford for the first time in this season. However both the teams failed to impress as they could not create any clear opening that could have resulted in a goal.If the first half was a mere midfield battle, suffering from lack of pace, the second half turned out to be an exhibition of a lacklustre performance from either teams. It was simply a case of old horses jabbing at each other instead of throwing punches.

However the only thing that could be noticed throughout the match was Wayne Rooney’s performance. Though he could not score any goal, yet the match got some of its life back when the ball came to his feet. Don’t think Chelsea will continue their quest of signing this red devil after today’s match.
