Sonia Gandhi taken to hospital, later discharged

Congress president Sonia Gandhi was taken to AIIMS hospital on Monday following complaint of exhaustion and chest pain in Lok Sabha during the voting on Food Security Bill. She was first admitted to the cardiology department of AIIMS and later discharged after taking several tests. Cabinet minister Kumari Selj and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was seen accompanied her.

According to AIIMS, 67-year-old Sonia is now stable and there is no immediate threat.

Meanwhile Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi wished her a speedy recovery.

“Glad to know that Sonia ji’s health is fine. Wishing her the best of health for the future,” Modi tweeted.
