Davis Cup: India beats South Korea 4-1

India beat South Korea 4-1 in the Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group tie and go into play-offs with huge confidence.

While on Sunday Rohan Bopanna defeated Hong Chung 3-6 6-4 6-4, Ramkumar Ramanathan lost to Yong-Kyu Lim. Paes and Bopanna sealed India’s chance on Saturday following Saketh Myneni and Ramkumar Ramanatahn’s respective singles victory on Friday.

After the 4-1 win, the Indian team led by Leander Paes and non-playing captain Anand Amritraj got together and celebrated dancing on the tunes of the song ‘Afghjan Jalebi’ from the movie ‘Phantom’.

India is now ready for the play-offs which to be held in September. India last played in World Group in 2011.
