Saina Nehwal Becomes First Indian to Enter BWF Super Series Singles Final

World Number four Saina Nehwal becomes the first Indian singles player to reach the summit clash of the BWF Super Series Finals after defeating world number five Tine Baun of Denmark in the semi-final at Liuzhou in China.

Saina beat Baun 21-17, 21-18 in 34 minutes to set up a titanic clash on Sunday against China’s world number one Yihan Wang.

In 2009 Jwala Gutta and V Diju reached the Super Series mixed doubles Final but lost out to Christinna Pedersen and Joaquim Nielsen.

All the very best Saina! We are eagerly waiting for another history creation from you when you lift the cup.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
