Sanjay Dutt says he won’t seek pardon

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt said that he accepts the Supreme Court verdict and will not apply for pardon to governor. Addressing the media on Thursday morning Sanjay Dutt said he will surrender within stipulated time.

Sanjay Dutt says he won't apply for pardon, will surrender on time“I have not applied for a pardon. The Supreme Court has given me time and I will surrender in that time. I have a lot of work to finish. I would also like to spend some days with my family,” said emotional Sanjay Dutt.

The Supreme Court has sentenced Sanjay Dutt 5 years in jail for possessing illegal weapons in the 1993 Bombay Blast case in which 257 people were killed. As he had already spent 16 months in TADA jail, so now he’ll have to spend another 3 and a half year in jail.

After the statement Dutt broke down and buried his head in his hands. His sister Priya Dutt was with him.
