Lokayukta Recommends Probe Against UP Minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui

Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta retired Justice NK Mehrotra today wrote to chief minister and BSP supremo Mayawati to start probe against PWD minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui and his wife Husna Siddiqui. The UP Lokayukta recommended CBI and ED probe into disproportionate assets case and misusing of public office.

Last year Mayawati has sacked 11 ministers on charges of corruption wherein six of them were accused by the Lokayukta.

Siddiqui, the Muslim face of BSP and the right hand of chief minister Mayawati will be in definite trouble in the mid of UP assembly elections.

“I gave Siddiqui an opportunity to put his defense but his reply was unsatisfactory,” Justice Mehrotra said to the media after completed the inquiry.

Siddiqui, however, deny all allegations.
