Lok Sabha session to begin on June 4

The brief session of 16th Lok Sabha will begin on June 4 with the new MPs will take oath. The session will continue till June 11.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu announced the dates to media after the cabinet meet. He informed that former Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath will be the Protem Speaker and will conduct the oath taking ceremony to the new members of the Lok Sabha.

The President Pranab Mukherjee will address the joint session of Parliament on June 9. The motion of thanks will be moved on June 10 and 11.

June 4 & 5: MPs to take oath
June 6: Speaker to be elected
June 9: President’s address
June 10 & 11: Thanks motion on President’s address

 

Meanwhile sources are telling that Prime Minister Narendra Modi could move to 7 RCR on Friday.
