Kejriwal explains his side on chartered plane controversy

Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal found himself in back foot after using a chartered aircraft to reach Delhi for a media group conclave from Jaipur yesterday.

arvindkejriwalKejriwal has been criticizing and lecturing other political leaders especially BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for using private flights while attending rallies across the country. But after Friday’s incident Kejriwal found himself in soup and became a target of other political parties and many Aaam Aadmis.

Kejriwal tried to explain that the India Today Group had arranged the aircraft and he had no role in it.

“Reached india today conclave from jaipur. Since there was no regular flt, india today group hired a charter to reach me in delhi on time… india today has paid for it. I wud urge Arvind Kejriwal in private chartered flightmodi ji and rahul gandhi ji also to disclose whose planes r they using and who pays for them (sic),” Kejriwal tweeted on Friday evening.

BJP leader Smriti Irani criticised Kejriwal for his hypocrisy and said he does not practice what he preach.

“He has not even vacated the house he was allotted after becoming Chief Minister of Delhi,” she added.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
