EC says AAP violates code of conduct

According to some media reports, the Election Commission of India has held the Aam Aadmi Party a guilty of violating model code of conduct for instigating clashes outside Delhi BJP office last week.

AAP violenceThe Chief Electoral Officer has reportedly expressed discontentment over AAP’s reply to the show-cause notice in which AAP said the violence outside BJP office was an “instant reaction” and was not a “planned event”.

The incident took place after Gujarat police briefly detained AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal for questioning his plans of action and whether he had permission to hold rallies in the state as the model code of conduct in place. He was, however, let go shortly after the questioning. But with the news of Kejriwal’s alleged detention, a few hundred AAP workers led by Ashutosh and Shazia Ilmi went to BJP headquarters in Delhi and started protesting there. The TV footages show both the parties were throwing stones, bricks at each other. BJP supporters were seen throwing chairs to the AAP members from their party office.  BJP leaders have later claimed that in retaliation they took action. Delhi police had arrested fourteen AAP members for inciting violence.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
