A desi Mahindra Scorpio over BMW for PM Modi?

Will Prime Minister Narendra Modi chooses to ride on ‘swadeshi’ Mahindra Scorpio instead of switching over to the German BMWs? At least that is what Anand Mahindra, chairman of the Mahindra Group, wishes.

“It will be a matter of pride for us and for the whole nation if our new PM continues to make the India-made Scorpio his vehicle of choice,” Anand Mahindra said.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s automotive division president Pawan Goenka said that that they will soon talk to SPG as well as PMO on this issue and they will make required security upgradation to Scorpio to secure PM’s security.

“We would like to see him continue on a Scorpio. We need to have a dialogue with the SPG to understand the security apparatus and requirements,” says Pawan Goenka.

Mahindra Scorpio is said to be Narendra Modi’s favourite vehicle and the company hopes that PM will soon announce the Scorpio to be his official car.
