Arvind Kejriwal to begin indefinite fast against power bills in Delhi

Arvind Kejriwal has announced an indefinite hunger strike against rising electricity and water prices in Delhi.

“I will sit on an indefinite hunger strike from March 23. I will appeal to the people not to pay electricity bills from March 23 onwards. I will not pay my Ghaziabad residence electricity bill from March 23 onwards,” Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal said.

He blamed Sheila Dikshit led Delhi government for overcharging customers unnecessarily.

“The people of Delhi should not pay half the amount of electricity bills because only half of the bill is justified,” he said.

Kejriwal asked Delhi residents to not pay their electricity bill from March.
