AAP government delivers on free water supply promise

To keep their poll promise, today the Aam Aadmi Party government has announced 667 litres of free water daily for each Delhi households.

“All the domestic consumers having metered connection will get 20 kilolitres of water free of cost from January 1. We will not even levy any existing charges such as water cess and sewerage charge,” Delhi jal board CEO Vijay Kumar told reporters.

However if the consumers use more than 20 kilolitres water daily then they will have to pay for the charges.

“There is no time limit for free water supply, we will continue with this,” AAp leader Kumar Vishwas said.
