WB governor accepts resignation of Justice AK Ganguly

PTI reports suggest West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan has accepted the resignation of former Supreme Court judge AK Ganguly as the chairman of West Bengal Human Rights Commission.

Under pressure, Justice AK Ganguly has reportedly submitted his resignation to the governor at the Raj Bhavan yesterday evening.

“The Governor has accepted the resignation and has informed the state government about it,” PTI quoted a source.

Justice AK Ganguly was accused of sexually harassing a law intern in December 2012 in Delhi.
