Rail tickets to be costly from tomorrow

Train tickets will be costly from tomorrow as new reservation charges, Tatkal fees and superfast fare will come into effect from April 1.

Although there is no change in reservation charges for second class and sleeper class but AC class reservation charges will be increased between Rs. 15 and Rs 25 per ticket.

Tatkal fee has been increased by 10% for second class and 30% AC classes.

Fare for Superfast trains has been increased by Rs. 10 for sleeper and second class fare and Rs. 15 to Rs. 25 for AC classes.

The fees on Cancellation also have been increased by Rs. 10 to Rs. 50 per confirmed tickets.

Cancellation charges for waiting and RAC tickets will be hiked by Rs. 5 for sleeper class and Rs. 10 for AC class.
